Kasey Ament and her horse Qasama Du Buisson Z rode their way to victory Friday night placing first in the InIt2WinIt Speed Jumping Series Qualifier at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colorado.
This is the final qualifying event for the Burlington Capital International Omaha taking place April 4-7th.
Kasey ended the night’s competition with an impressive score of 1280 points, winning the $15,000 Monarch Casino Gambler’s Choice Jumper Stake and qualifying for the Final in Omaha.
Ament finished her run with the initial score of 1080 points.
After finishing, she took her chances with the “joker jump”, the tallest jump in the course. If she had knocked it down, she would have lost 200 points.
however, clearing this jump, she gained an extra 200 points and the top spot on the leaderboard.
Kristin Hardin and her horse Bert came in a close second, just 30 points behind Ament. Hardin at 1250 points, tied with rider Susan Griffs and horse Deauville Van Overis Z.
With a faster overall time, though, Kristen edged ahead of Griffs for another qualifying score. We will see each of these riders, along with the those listed below, in three months to compete for the top spot in the $100,000 InIt2WinIt Final.

The International Omaha, April 4-7, 2019 will be held at the CHI Health Center on Omaha's downtown riverfront, the site of the 2017 FEI World Cup™ Finals.
In addition to the InIt2WinIt Championship, the event will feature a $100,000 International Grand Prix in jumping, a Dressage Team Challenge featuring Grand Prix, Freestyle, Youth, Para, and Amateur riders and clinic with George Morris.
